The State Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is conducting a large-scale special operation titled “Honest Conscription.” Investigative actions are taking place in over 100 territorial centers of recruitment and social support at various levels across most regions of Ukraine.
The primary focus of law enforcement is directed at instances of facilitating draft evasion for money, as well as abuse of power by TCC personnel, specifically beatings and torture of conscripts.
This represents systemic work aimed at purifying the system rather than a reaction to a single high-profile incident.
For many within the TCC, today has truly become a “clean Thursday.”
Based on the findings of the investigative operations, detentions and notices of suspicion to individuals involved in various regions of the country are anticipated.
