A man mobilized through the TCC in Vyshneve was later found dead and buried as an unidentified person. His cousin states that the deceased suffered from diabetes and severe leg conditions.
According to the relative, parents were initially informed that the man was unfit for service and would soon return home. However, he was later transferred to the Nizhyn TCC, from where he was attached to a military unit. On June 30, contact with him was lost, and on July 2 the family was told that he had allegedly gone AWOL (absent without official leave).
The body was discovered on July 18. An extract from the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations indicates that the man was wearing only underwear, with no visible external injuries noted. A few days later, he was buried as an unidentified individual.
“Found dead in only his underwear and buried as an unknown person,” the relative wrote. According to him, the deceased man’s phone had been located as early as July 5 and returned to his wife on July 9, but was never seized as physical evidence.
A DNA test is currently underway. The family has appealed to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
