Unknown man - Ternopil, 23.05.2026

On 23 May 2026, a 46-year-old local resident was found dead inside one of the TCC and SP premises in Ternopil. According to police, he had been taken to the TCC that day to clarify his military registration data.

Investigation

The case was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with an additional "suicide" note. Police said they were checking the circumstances from the man's arrival at the TCC until the shot.

One version being checked by investigators is that the pistol may have been inside the man's backpack.
