- 06.07.2026 — the conscript was delivered by police officers to the premises of the Uzhhorod District TCC and SP. Holding limited fitness status, he was assigned to a National Guard of Ukraine unit following verification procedures.
- 08.07.2026, around 13:30 — while at the assembly point awaiting departure to his designated unit, the man fell from a third-floor window of the TCC facility.
- An emergency medical team was called immediately. The victim was rushed in critical condition with polytrauma to the intensive care unit of the Uzhhorod City Multi-Profile Clinical Hospital.
- 09.07.2026, morning — the man died from fatal injuries in the intensive care unit.
Investigation and Outcome
Zakarpattia regional police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("premeditated murder") marked with an "accident" note.
During pre-trial investigative steps, law enforcement authorities:
- seized and reviewed security camera recordings from inside and outside the facility;
- appointed comprehensive forensic medical examinations;
- questioned TCC officials, duty personnel, and witnesses.
05.09.2026 — law enforcement authorities announced the closure of criminal proceedings pursuant to Clause 2, Part 1, Article 284 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine (absence of the corpus delicti). According to the official investigative conclusions, no evidence of unlawful conduct, physical violence, or abuse of power by TCC staff was established.
