Chronology

  • 07.02.2026 - 55-year-old Oleh left home to walk his dog. On the street, two cars with TCC personnel pulled up to him. What exactly happened is unknown; the confrontation was not captured by residential security cameras. He never returned home.
  • 07.02.2026, after midnight - police received a report about the death of a 55-year-old man.
  • 25.02.2026 - forensic results were made public: death from brain swelling and edema, skull fractures, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

Investigation

Additional details

Full name: Lesin Oleh Viktorovych, 55, retired police officer and father of three. He had a lawful right to deferment.

The attackers (the notification group of the Samarskyi RTC and SP) were senior police sergeant Ye. H. Duplii, Dmytro Moskalenko, Viacheslav Samukha, Serhii Dovhoruchenko, Mykola Abramchev, and Oleksandr Zahorulko.

Police officer Duplii claims that he was not wearing a body camera and did not see force being used. After taking Lesin to hospital, he disappeared.

Charges: Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code (intentional grievous bodily harm causing death). Two of the three TCC servicemen were remanded in custody without bail.
