Muzychko Maksym
Biography
Maksym Muzychko, 31, was a volunteer from Lutsk. His wife is Marharyta Muzychko.
Chronology
- 10.06.2025 - he was detained by TCC representatives on a street in Lutsk. According to his mother, pepper spray was used on his eyes before he was taken to the regional TCC.
- 11.06.2025 - he was held at the TCC. According to relatives, his diagnoses and medical documents were ignored. He was sent to a training ground in Lviv region without going through a military medical board.
- 12.06.2025 - he stopped responding. By using geolocation, his wife saw that he was being taken to St. Panteleimon Hospital in Lviv. He ended up on the operating table in critical condition.
- 12.06-06.07.2025 - he spent more than two weeks in intensive care.
- 06.07.2025 - his heart stopped. Maksym Muzychko died.
Diagnosis
Open traumatic brain injury: subdural and epidural hematomas, multiple hemorrhages.
Family's version
- Pepper spray was used during the detention
- His diagnoses were ignored
- He was sent to the training ground without a medical board
- He was beaten while under the control of the TCC and military personnel
TCC version
The Volyn Regional TCC stated:
- On 11 June, his military registration status was verified and he was sent to the medical board
- He behaved calmly during escort
- No physical force or special means were used
- Reports about pepper spray "do not correspond to reality"
Police version
Lviv region police stated that the man fell out of the back of a military truck while being transported to the training ground.
Investigation status
Police in Lviv region opened a criminal case.
