Chronology
- 17 June 2025, evening — Stryi recruitment center staff stopped Oleksii Naumenko during a document check. He carried no military registration papers and had not registered since martial law was imposed. He was taken to the enlistment office.
- 18 June 2025, 00:55 — the man complained of acute burning chest pain. Duty staff called an ambulance.
- The ambulance arrived within 12 minutes, but resuscitation failed and doctors pronounced biological death.

Suspilne Lviv spoke with the man's neighbor who was with him during the detention. She said Oleksii suffered from chronic vascular and heart problems and took daily medication. According to her, he felt ill while still on the street, but servicemen ignored requests to call an ambulance and took him into the facility.
Recruitment center
The Lviv regional recruitment center stated that police forensic examiners found no signs of violence or external injuries on the body. Doctors cited an acute heart attack as the preliminary cause of death. An official service inquiry was opened.
