Chronology

  • 15.07.2025 - he was detained by TCC personnel in Nikopol. He had been wanted for failing to appear in response to summonses. The same evening he was taken to the TCC in Kamianske.
  • 15-16.07.2025, night - he suffered three epileptic seizures inside the TCC.
  • 16.07.2025, morning - an ambulance was called and he was admitted to a local hospital. A CT scan revealed a hematoma on the head.
  • 16.07.2025 - he discharged himself from hospital of his own will.
  • After 16.07.2025 - he disappeared. He never returned to the TCC.
  • ~November 2025 - his body was found in Kamianske in a skeletal state (about 4 months later). The body was handed over to the family.

Circumstances of the incident

Roman Stenkovyi had been receiving summonses but did not report to the TCC. On 15 July he was detained in Nikopol and taken to the Kamianske TCC. That night he suffered three epileptic seizures. The next morning he was hospitalized, and a CT scan showed a hematoma on his head. He discharged himself the same day and disappeared.

About 4 months later, his body was found in Kamianske in a skeletal condition.

TCC version

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional TCC and SP stated the following:

  • Stenkovyi complained of poor health and reported epileptic seizures
  • Servicemen immediately called an ambulance
  • After hospitalization, the TCC received no further contact from him
