Circumstances of the incident

Andrii Tereshchenko was a man with cancer. On 5 October 2025 he was detained in Cherkasy by TCC personnel, or, according to his family, "abducted." The next day, on 6 October 2025, he died from his injuries in Boryspil while undergoing a military medical examination.

The case received very little coverage in major media outlets. Search results are dominated by reports about another man with the same name, Andrii Serhiiovych Tereshchenko, who was killed during the Anti-Terrorist Operation in 2014.

Key question

Why a man with cancer was taken to a military medical board, and why he died from injuries there, remains unknown. No agency version has been made public.
