Serhii Volodymyrovych Ukhorenko, born in 1985, from Mykolaiv's Korabelnyi district, was detained on 14 March 2025. On the morning of 17 March his sister Iryna Blanytsia was called to collect the body.

Chronology

  • 14.03.2025 — a notification team of the Korabelnyi recruitment center stopped him near Peremohy Square. The same day a medical board found him fit.
  • 15.03.2025 — the head of the Korabelnyi center ordered his mobilization. He was taken to a unit in another region.
  • 17.03.2025, morning — sister Iryna Blanytsia was told her brother was dead and she had to collect the body. She was told the body was found about 500 meters from the unit and that he had died of a heart attack.

Korabelov.info reports the relatives' account. After the body was brought to Mykolaiv, they said it had many bruises and signs of beatings and fractures. Serhii left two young children, raised by his sister, a nurse at the oncology hospital. The first online report appeared in a Telegram channel that Korabelov.info cites.

Recruitment center

On 28 March 2025 the Mykolaiv oblast recruitment center wrote on Facebook that on the morning of 14 March Ukhorenko was handed a summons, came voluntarily, was not wanted, and was found fit under article 36-v, column II, of the schedule of diseases. The center says that on 16 March, after arriving at the reception point, he left on his own and disappeared.
