Chronology

  • 07.02.2025, ~07:00 - law enforcement officers found a 32-year-old resident of Chernivtsi who had been wanted for evading mobilization. He was taken to the Chernivtsi Regional TCC.
  • 07.02.2025 - while speaking with military personnel and clarifying his registration data, he did not complain about his health. He was sent to the military medical board.
  • 07.02.2025 - during the medical board his condition suddenly deteriorated. He was given first aid.
  • 07.02.2025 - doctors pronounced him dead during resuscitation attempts.

Forensic examination

The head of the regional forensic bureau, Bachynskyi, stated that:

  • The man suffered from ischemic heart disease
  • He had grade III obesity
  • Death resulted from an acute failure of cardiac dynamics
  • No bodily injuries were found on the body

Response

  • Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reacted to the case and sent letters to the TCC and the police
  • The case was entered into the Unified Register under Article 115 with the note "natural death"
  • The body was sent for forensic examination
