Circumstances of the incident

On 23 May 2024, a conscription-age man who was inside one of the TCC buildings in Zakarpattia region suddenly felt much worse. He was given emergency first aid and an ambulance was called, but doctors pronounced him dead.

The Zakarpattia Regional TCC commented: "Unfortunately, there are cases when the military medical board declares men fit for service, but tragedies later occur."

This was the second death reported in a Zakarpattia TCC within one month. The first occurred on 23.04.2024, on the way to a training center.
